Bemer therapy for dogs

HELP YOUR DOG FEEL LIKE A PUPPY AGAIN!

PULSED ELECTRO MAGNETIC THERAPY FOR CANINE EXPLAINED

BEMER Pulsed Electro Magnetic Therapy is recommended for any Dogs with, chronic pain, injuries, illnesses & health conditions. Additionally, the Light Spot applicator is very effective on abrasions, blisters, burns, ulcers, tears, punctures, and allergic reactions to the pads of their feet.

The Bemer Medical Device is a class II FDA registered device

It’s as simple as this, your pet lays on the Bemer mat and a low electromagnetic field is applied for 8-16 minutes. From that 8-16-minute relaxing treatment, your pet gets 12 hours of improved blood flow in the micro-capillaries that supply vital organs and damaged tissues. More Blood Flow = more oxygen= improved cellular function= healing.

HOW DO YOU PERFORM PULSED ELECTRO MAGNETIC THERAPY?

BEMER PEMF is a device that emits specific frequencies of PULSED ELECTRO MAGNETIC FREQUENCY waves. PEMF has been studied for decades and has been shown to massively improve microvascular blood flow which in turn improves circulation overall. This improved circulation leads to optimal health by facilitating delivery of oxygen and nutrients and the removal of toxins and waste products. The BEMER PEMF unit has been extensively studied with several peer-reviewed research articles proving benefits that you now can provide for your pets.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The BEMER PEMF device is a mat that is placed on the floor. Inside the mat is a network of copper coils which emits an electromagnetic current that creates a magnetic field. Dogs are encouraged to rest on the mat for a minimum of 8 – 16 minutes per therapy session. Most dogs are drawn to the subtle Pulsed Electro Magnetic Stimulation (barely noticeable to humans) and settle down to rest quietly during their treatment. Various additional flexible bands and spot applicators are also used to focus therapy on a specific problem area if needed. A Light Spot applicator is utilized and will greatly reduce skin conditions and is very effective on abrasions, blisters, burns, ulcers, tears, punctures, and allergic reactions to the pads of the feet.

BUT HOW DOES IT REALLY WORK?

The electromagnetic frequency stimulates virtually all cells in the body, including: bone, muscle, immune system cells and even stem cells. PEMF has been shown to increase bone healing, improve muscle function and organ health as well as gene expression associated with stem cell functions. One thing that is widely understood is that PEMF delivered at the proper frequencies markedly increase microvascular circulation, which has numerous health benefits and allows the organism (dog, cat, horse, human) to experience an ideal state of health for the body to repair damage and improve vital functions. A few specific things happen after therapy including increased ATP (adenosine triphosphate) production, normalization of cellular membrane, increased oxygenation of tissues and improved removal of toxins from the cells.

WHAT DOES PEMF FEEL LIKE?

Mostly there is little perceptible sensation during a treatment. Some humans report mild tingling or possibly a mild feeling of warmth. Most humans report feeling relaxed, peaceful and energized. Most Dogs have been observed to be drawn to the energetic field and often seem to relax and go into a “state of Zen”.

HOW COULD MY PET BE HELPED USING PEMF?

We like to call it MOVE. Mobility. Optimization. Vitality. Energy. Dogs receiving PEMF therapy may act “more perky” and have more energy. PEMF reduces chronic pain, heals injuries, and minimizes post surgical healing time. Improved blood circulation throughout the body resulting from the therapy enhances cell functions, thus promotes healing and regeneration of tissues, and optimizes organ function.

ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS?

There is no known short term or long-term side effects.   Dogs that are undergoing chemotherapy or are prone to seizures should consult with the supervising doctor for an in-depth discussion of a risk/benefit analysis.

CAN ANY PET UNDERGO PEMF THERAPY?

Dogs that are pregnant or have pacemakers are not candidates for PEMF therapy. Pets that are undergoing chemotherapy or are prone to seizures should consult with the supervising doctor for an in-depth discussion of a risk/benefit analysis. Cats and small “cage” animals are not ideal candidates for this therapy due to the nature of their disposition, they are not likely to remain still for the duration. Although the treatment has been seen to work for some calmer feline patients and it is therefore at the discretion of the feline parent.

WHAT DISEASES DOES BEMER PEMF CURE?

NONE. Bemer therapy will increase microvascular circulation which can have widespread beneficial effects. With increased circulation comes an increased cellular oxygen supply and removal of toxin and waste products. This process allows for increased natural self healing and optimized cell metabolism and catabolism all equaling increased body health, reduction of inflammation and chronic pain and increased levels of energy and vitality. It is to be noted that PEMF Therapy is not currently meant as a sole treatment for any disease condition. Please do not discontinue any of your Dogs medication without consulting with your veterinarian.

HOW SOON WILL I SEE RESULTS IN MY DOG?

Results will vary from patient to patient, some Dogs have shown results after only a few sessions, however it is a long-play type of strategy. Recommendations for all patients is to allow 8 weeks until significant clinical results can be seen.

HOW OFTEN ARE TREATMENTS RECOMMENDED?

It really depends on the condition we are dealing with. Typically, we start with treatments 3 times per week for the first 1-3 weeks, depending on response to therapy. Treatment frequency may eventually be tapered down to weekly sessions and on a case-by-case basis may even be reduced to a simple infrequent maintenance plan or completely discontinued.

DO YOU OFFER A MOBILE “AT HOME” OPTION?

Absolutely! We are Happy to offer in home service which often is much more convenient in the case of an injured, post surgical recovery and/or sick Dog. But in many cases Dogs may feel more comfortable in their own surroundings and settle down quicker for their session. That said, we are happy to offer and accommodate sessions in our treatment room.
