Sound familiar?

You love your dog.

Some of their behaviour?

Not so much..

01

Doorbell rings and it's instant chaos?

02

Do they come when called? Or only when they feel like it?

03

Over-excited with no "off switch," especially around guests?

04

Does your dog walk you, instead of the other way around?

Meet your trainer

Hi, I'm Olive!

Certified Master Trainer

18+ Years of Experience

I've been around dogs my whole life, starting with my father's kennels as a kid.

After a career in business, I moved to Ireland in 1996 to work hands-on at a Greyhound kennel, where I spent over a decade training the toughest cases: anxious, fearful, and traumatized dogs who needed to rebuild trust and confidence.

By 2008, I was back in Canada as a Certified Master Trainer, and I opened Doggy Do's & Don'ts to bring that same approach to family pets. Training that's holistic, in-home, and built around how your dog actually thinks and learns.

It's a privilege to walk into your home and help change your dog's behavior, and your life with them in ways you didn't think were possible.

How In-Home Training Works

We come to you

Olive arrives in your home. The environment your dog actually needs to listen in, not a classroom.

Assess & understand

Olive identifies why your dog behaves the way they do. The root cause behind jumping, pulling, barking, or ignoring you.

Teach, hands-on, together

You and your dog work directly with Olive on the commands and habits that matter most for your household.

A plan, and ongoing support

You get a clear, personalized plan to keep practicing, plus ongoing direct support while it sticks.

What We Do

Teaching

This is the foundation of what we do. We teach you how to connect with your dog in a universal language that they understand.

Olive's methodology is designed to teach the human and the dog in the most efficient way, and install a system that builds on itself with practice. This is usually enough for most clients to see a major shift in their dog's behaviour.

Our training programs include:

Puppy Head Start

For puppies 8–16 weeks.

Potty & crate training, preventing chewing, biting and jumping.

Well Mannered Dog

Foundation obedience for owners who want to be hands-on in the process. Come, sit, lay down, stay and more.

Best Buddy

Intermediate obedience with off-leash reliability, practiced out in public and on the trails, with distractions.

Dream Dog

Our most complete program. It is typically completed in about 12 lessons in your home & out in public.

Health, Wellness & Anxiety

If your dog is uncomfortable, in pain, suffering from chronic ailments or recovering from some kind of injury or surgery, we're here for you.

We use Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy (PEMF) to improve circulation in even the smallest blood vessels, carrying more nutrients, oxygen, hormones, and immune cells throughout the body.

PEMF is widely used on athletes to help speed up recovery, reduce muscle soreness, and support healing from injuries. It is a non-invasive, drug-free, and surgery-free treatment that works!

Sometimes our dogs have experienced things in the past that impact their abilities or willingness to learn. This can be stressful for both you and your dog.

Our Anxiety Answer Program helps dogs release stress & tension held within the body, which can trigger many of the unwanted behaviors that you may be struggling with.

Typically 1 hour appointments, in which we create a “present moment” space to share with your dog. This practice allows us to take the dog to what’s called a level-zero, or healing state.

Real results

What clients say after working with Olive

Our puppy is now more relaxed

After 1 session, we began to see such dramatic change in our beloved puppy that we had hope for the first time! Within 1 week we had a dog who was remarkably more settled, showed a complete absence of food aggression, and would obey our 3-year-old without fault.

Highly recommend Olive

We were completely astounded at how quickly we started to see behavioural changes. We can now leave our dogs alone, and they're also much calmer greeting people at the door. We highly recommend Olive.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this actually work for my dog?

Olive has trained 1000+ dogs in her career. That's a LOT of dogs. Her 18+ years of experience allow her to use every session effectively, without cutting corners. Most owners see a measurable change in their dog after only a few sessions.

My dog is older, is it too late?

No. Older dogs often progress faster than puppies, because they already have more impulse control. Age isn't the barrier people assume it is.

My dog is reactive/aggressive. Can you handle that?

Yes. This is specifically what we're built for. We use humane, structured protocols (including muzzles as a safety step when needed, never as punishment) to work with reactive and aggressive dogs safely and effectively.

My partner isn't fully on board. What then?

That's normal. Usually the partner who's lived with the daily struggle is sold, and the other one just hasn't seen it up close yet.

Good news: both of you need to be there anyway. It's what actually makes this work. Everyone giving your dog the same signals. Most skeptical partners aren't convinced by a conversation. They're convinced by session two, handling the dog themselves and watching them respond.

Send them this page. Contact Olive. Let the results do the convincing.

I've already tried training and it didn't work. Why would this be different?

Because your dog was never the problem. The method was. Group classes train in a room full of strangers, away from where your dog's actual triggers live. We train at your front door, on your street, in your real life. That's the difference.

Do you come to my home?

Yes. Always. Your dog's actual behaviour happens in your space, not in a rented classroom, so that's where we train.

Who has to attend?

Everyone who regularly spends time with your dog: family members, and any regular sitter or dog walker. This is what makes the results stick.
